Hellaby in Rotheram, South Yorkshire, was first commissioned in February 2005, the data centre is situated within a secure campus facility offering 24*7*365 security presence enhanced with CCTV.

Access to the data centre building is controlled via an access swipe card system and Panasonic BM-ET300A biometrics. The building has a brick base and is constructed of a steel frame with external cladding. It consists of a main data hall, a further area of raised floor and ancillary rooms hosting the transformer and associated plant (UPS, batteries etc.).

The total building area is circa 12,000 square feet and the main data hall is approximately 7100 square feet. There is an expansion area of 2950 square feet which is also raised floor but is not currently fitted out for data centre use. This area could be upgraded and either integrated in to the main hall or operated as a separate data hall. Alternatively it could be further partitioned to provide DR suites, Operations Bridge, build room area and storage as required. The building is of a very good decorative order and both it and the associated equipment are well maintained.
